Summer Disco

Wednesday 16/11/16

On Tuesday, I went to the Summer holiday disco at Tamaki Hall. I went by Sommerville Special School van. I danced with Bradley,Satvir, Marciano, Lauren and Katy. I had a raspberry juice. I enjoyed dancing so well. My favourite song is peanut butter jelly. I had a fun day. I got a juice from Kettle and Jug. I wore  pants, shirt and a red jumper. I get the chips to eat.

 

Halloween Pool Party

1/11/16

On Friday I went to the Pegasus Unit for Halloween Pool Party at Pakuranga College. I see Lionel’s class,Val’s class and Geara’s class. I did some ghost shooting with a nerf gun. I did some jumping and diving.I had a sausage sizzle for lunch. I did some eyeball throw. It was a fun day. I wore an orange jumper and a mask. I felt happy.

Interact Art Festival

25/10/16

On Friday I went to the Interact art festival at Henderson. I went in Shyama’s car. When we got there we had our faces painted. I drew some rainbow pictures. I did a bit of  juggling. We went to the artwork shop I made a big fish. I used scissors and colored cellotape. We went to the Dance performances. We had lunch there. We went back to school by bus. I had a fun day.

Welcome Home

On last Friday we went to the paralympics welcome home. We went by the sommerville van. Thiha and Ruby were holding the Rio paralympics posters. I met sophie pascoe. I wore a gold tie. It was a sunny day. I got a gold medal. We had a lovely day. There were people watching on TV one news. I was holding the microphone. We had a burger king for lunch.

Special Olympics Basketball

16/09/16

We went to the basketball. We went by the school bus. We had some morning tea. We played with sunnydene first game. I did some shooting the ball on the hoops. There were very good and playing so well. The second game was Balmoral school. I played with Shelley’s class. I got some 3 points. After that we had our lunch there. We got a prize giving. I enjoy dribbling the ball. I did shaking our hands to each others.

Paralympics Trip

13/09/16

On Friday we went to the Paralympics New Zealand Fan zone. We went in the Sommerville Van. We went to see the big T.V. I had some Chicken Nuggets and Chips. I went to the Auckland fish market. We watched the New Zealand swimmers there. We went for a walk around the city. We saw the big Sky Tower. I saw a big sailing boat. We went to look at the bridge. I played in the playground. I wear a yellow tie. The waterfront is very nice. It was a sunny day.

Sommerville Olympics

Sommerville Olympics

I went to the Sommerville Olympics. Our class represented Jamaica.I wear green jumper and Yellow T.shirt for the Jamaica team.We all went to the Tamaki hall. There was a parade,I had a flag and a Usain Bolt mask. Keenan and Julia carried the olympic torch. Then we sang the national anthem.Next we all went to the podium.I had a chance to stand on the podium with medal around my neck. After that  we did some relay and jumping hurdles. I did some running around the rugby field. I had lots of fun.

Sports day at Pegasus.

I enjoyed the sports day at Pegasus Unit. My favourite station  was  “angry birds”. There you pull the ball and release it towards a stack of boxes. I met some students from other schools. I enjoyed the nerf guns. I did the game “hungry hippos” with David. After that we had a sausage sizzle. I won some cool prizes.

My Holiday News

Monday 25/07/16

I went to Rotorua in the 1st week of my holidays. I went with my Mum,Dad and Brother. We all did a jetboat ride. I watched the spider-man 2. It was but bit scary. Then we went to  Mount Ruapehu. My brother and I played in the snow. It was so cold up in the mountain. We stayed in a Motel. We went to a lovely indian Restaurant. I had chicken Tikka Masala and rice for dinner. I went to in the Spa with my mum. It was fun. I played on the computer. I had a great holiday.

I had a haircut just before the school.

Portrait Olympics

On Thursday and Friday ,we went to the Art Festival at Te Oro in Glen Innes. We went by 3 cars. When we got there students from Sommerville School and some parents were there. First we went to main hall to watch a show from Room 1,2,3. The show was about birds and jungle. We went upstairs and did some paper art with another class. Next we went to do our Portrait Olympics. We set up the classroom for portrait olympics. Mina and Joel explained to others about what they need to be doing. Keenan and I started to draw the pictures. Everybody had some fun. Then we went and watch other students dancing. I joined in with them and did Jump- Jam. We went to KFC and had lunch. I had lots of fun.

We are learning about the Football

I went to the Macleans College to play soccer. We went by the van. First we played soccer with Pakuranga College. They played better than us. We saw lionel’s class. Our next game was with Howick College. The last game we Played with Mt Roskill. We won the game. We had sausage sizzle. It was cloudy and windy. I had lots of fun.

Today i use a chrome book first time in the class. It was so good. Now i have my own computer.

Today I learnt how to take a screenshot on my chrome book. We learnt how to hold down the shift key to make a capital.

"Give it a Go" at Sommerville

I went to”Give it a Go” sports day at the base school. I did SNAG golf, javelin and egg and spoon relay. Lionel Picked us up in the school van. Matthew, lauren, Aidan, Andrew Christopher and Natasha were there in my group.It was. sunny and raining. Ashwin helped to put everything away. I really enjoyed the day.

My Easter Holiday

I went to Whahita waterfall and Piha beach on Easter Sunday. I had McChicken burger for lunch. I went to extreme  timezone for playing games. I played deal or no deal, star wars and spinning wheels Games on good Friday. On Tuesday I tidy up my room.

cricket day at Parnell Cricket Club

On last Thursday we went to play cricket in Parnell Cricket Club. I went with my class. There are nine students. We went in the van There were other people to help us learn cricket.  Matthew and Kyi-Kyaw were in my group. I did throwing at the wicket first. I have to hit the wicket 3 times with the ball and running fast.

 What does it mean?

This symbol is unique to New Zealand specially.

It is usually made from Pounamu and is worn green stone around the neck as a good luck charm.

The Tiki is very popular and means the creation of new life.

It helps to clear their mind and learn.
